In Honor of
William Cecil Fore & Alexander Fore
The William Cecil Fore & Alexander Fore Scholarship Awards was created to honor two beloved cousins from the Spring Branch Community, in Marion, S.C.. In 1965, they graduated from Johnakin High School (now Marion High School) and became U.S. Army Soldiers. Tragically in February and May of 1967 they became casualties of the Vietnam War.
A Legacy That Lives On
William Cecil Fore and Alexander Fore believed deeply in service,
education and the transformative power of opportunity. Their
vision lives on through scholarships awarded to outstanding,
college-bound graduating seniors from Marion, Mullins, Latta,
and Dillon High Schools. By investing in these students, their
legacy empowers young scholars to pursue higher education
and rise as leaders within their communities. Their story is
more than history it is a living investment in the future.
